Rover Mini MPI (1998) Show Winning Car
Welcome to the sale of this outstanding Mini Mpi finished in Tahiti Blue with a full electric sunroof. This Mini won 4 and also placed 2 others at various national shows at Himley Hall, Stanford between 2005 and 2009. The Mini was then used in the Meguiars’s full page spread in MiniWorld which we have a copy of. The Mini underwent extensive restoration circa 10-12 years ago and has numerous photos provided by the previous owner to show how well this car was restored. The previous owner purchased the car in May 19 and was very particular about his cars, he commissioned a local mini specialist to undertake full rustproofing and works to take the car to the next level. I have invoices to confirm the work totaling £6,000, carried out in June 19, the work including:
4 new cones
4 new shock absorbers
4 new knuckle joints
New engine mounts
New rear wheel cylinders, arms, and bearings
Rear hi low kit
New rear subframe
New handbrake cable
New clutch slave cylinder
Full underside strip down and repaint in Tahiti blue, with Raptor rust protection
Blasting and powder coating of all rear components
2 inner arch linings fitted at front to aid protection
Full interior removal including dashboard with rustproofing applied in all cavities
Rear fuel tank removal and full rustproofing applied in all cavities
New carpet from Newton Commercial fitted
Full suspension and tracking set up
The car has completed less than 500 miles since all the above work was completed. The car has an uprated stereo system with 4 speakers and an amplifier housed in the boot. The interior (which is bespoke leather) is in as new condition, along with all the carpets and headliner. The history file is complete with all previous mots, bills and all work carried out throughout its life, a check of the MOT history online will confirm an excellent record.
